Since the boom of Generative AI, I have been reflecting on how to bring humanist values to the heart of the AI development and debate. I played close attention to the narratives and metaphors circulating and how they often contribute to further polarise the debate. On the other hand, I have been on the quest for "positive metaphors" that can make AI more accessible and digestible to the wider public.
With the support of my former students ๐ฉท Marco Filomeno, Chiara Moresco and Alberto Erosi ๐ฉท, I researched the AI-food metaphor and conceptualised The Humanist @ The Tech Table ๐จ ๐ ๐ค(H@TT) โ a research project and creative format which aims at developing the following components:
